| minute read

In a groundbreaking endeavor aimed at enhancing cross-border collaboration and fostering business growth, Sopra Steria Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg joined forces to implement One Finance. This ambitious initiative sought to integrate their diverse business landscapes into a cohesive and efficient ecosystem through a unified SAP public cloud solution, integrating SAP S/4 Public Cloud with key platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, SAP CIM, SAP C4C, SAP BTP, Rydoo, PowerBI, and various RPA tools.

The Vision of One Finance

One Finance was born from a shared vision within the Sopra Steria Group, a coalition of these nations, to leverage state-of-the-art technology to break down barriers and create a seamless, unified business environment across the Benelux region. The key objective was to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and facilitate data sharing, ultimately boosting the competitiveness and innovation of businesses in the participating countries.

1. Collaborative Strategy

The first step involved fostering a collaborative strategy, where representatives from each country collaborated to identify common business processes, overcoming challenges and opportunities. By aligning their goals and sharing expertise, the team was able to plot a comprehensive roadmap for integrating SAP public cloud solutions effectively.

2. Customized Integration

Understanding the unique needs and regulations of each country, the project team tailored the SAP public cloud solution, integrating SAP SuccessFactors, SAP CIM, SAP C4C, SAP BTP, Rydoo, PowerBI, and various RPA tools to accommodate local requirements while ensuring seamless integration. This customization allowed businesses in each country to continue their operations within their respective legal frameworks.

3. Data Harmonization

To promote harmonized data management and information sharing, the project focused on establishing standardized data protocols and governance practices. This ensured that data could be shared securely and efficiently across borders while adhering to privacy and compliance standards.

4. Integration of Processes

Incorporating best practices and standardized processes, One Finance facilitated the integration of business operations, enabling companies to align their workflows and enhance efficiency. The integrated SAP public cloud solution, with its connected platforms, enabled cross-border collaboration without hindrance.

5. Training and Change Management

Recognizing the importance of upskilling and change management, the project prioritized training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the integrated SAP public cloud solution and associated platforms. Change management strategies were implemented to ensure smooth adoption of the new system.

Achieving Success and Preparing for the integration in Sopra Steria

The successful implementation of One Finance marked a significant milestone in the collaboration between Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg within the Sopra Steria Group. The integrated SAP public cloud solution, harmoniously connected with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP CIM, SAP C4C, SAP BTP, Rydoo, PowerBI, and various RPA tools, has enabled businesses to operate seamlessly across borders, leveraging a unified platform to enhance productivity, innovation, and competitiveness.

In alignment with Sopra Steria’s innovative spirit and commitment to leveraging technological advancements, this project builds upon Sopra Steria’s notable achievement with the “One Finance” project. The “One Finance” project represented a pioneering transition from 2 on-premises ECC systems to the scalable SAP Public Cloud environment, emphasizing growth within the Benelux region. This successful migration and seamless integration with various SAP tools, including BTP, CPI, C4C, and SuccessFactors, underpin Sopra Steria’s readiness to be part of the larger Sopra Steria group.

The integration with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) enabled advanced analytics and data management, enhancing data-driven decision-making. Additionally, Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) ensured smooth communication between different systems and applications, resulting in a streamlined workflow. Integration with C4C, and SuccessFactors streamlined customer interactions, internal processes, and talent management respectively, showcasing Sopra Steria’s commitment to optimizing its operations and resources.

The “One Finance” project not only signifies a significant milestone for Sopra Steria but also stands as a beacon of inspiration for companies striving for growth with SAP. This successful migration to the SAP Public Cloud and seamless integration with vital tools demonstrate how purposeful approaches and robust collaboration can yield exceptional results in the modern business landscape. Sopra Steria’s journey underscores the potential for companies to harness SAP’s innovative solutions to their fullest extent, positioning them at the forefront of technological and business advancements. As Sopra Steria prepares to join the “Sopra Steria” alliance, they bring with them a wealth of experience and success, contributing to the evolution of a larger, more integrated, and powerful business ecosystem.
